22/3/2020 PLANET EARTH

The year is 2020, and it has been a month now since the start of the apocalypse. The Coronavirus pandemic is prevalent over the whole world. The death toll has reached up to 13,069 as of today morning. Nothing spreads like fear and word PANDEMIC literally has the word PANIC in it. The Pandemic, The Financial Collapse, Societal disruption, International borders closed, Flights grounded, trains canceled and the fact that I would have to die alone was really getting me down. But I have decided to get out of bed and write about that one time when we were all quarantined.

On the first day of the lockdown, I sheltered in place to take care of a lot of household tasks which was ignored by me for years. I folded my clothes, cleaned my room, gave my motorcycle a wash, organized all the shit on my laptop and managed to save around 50 GB on my hard drive. The room was spotless. It was a very productive morning. After an early lunch, I had a good nap and then it was 5 o’clock and I popped up a beer and turned on the Television. Watching the news was an awful idea, but I was curious about the world’s apocalypse. The pandemic is spreading! , New cases are being reported! , Stock markets collapsed! , But the dolphins are happy, the pollution levels are coming down. I guess the Apocalypse is not that bad for everyone. I slept on the couch after a couple of beers. I woke up in the middle of the night to crashing and banging at the door. I immediately assumed that armed marauders were coming for the hand sanitizers. But when I opened the door, it was my neighbor with two rolled-up blunts. The hand sanitizers were safe. We smoked up while keeping a meter distance and then he left. Then I thought to myself. . .

So what is the Coronavirus [Covid -19]?
